Máquina fiada PP SMS

A PP SMS spunmelt machine is a type of manufacturing equipment used to produce non-woven fabrics made from polypropylene (PP) fibers using the spunmelt technology. The SMS stands for Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond, which is a three-layer structure that combines the strengths of spunbond and meltblown technologies.

The PP SMS spunmelt machine consists of several parts, including an extruder, a spinneret, a quenching system, a web formation unit, a meltblown unit, a calendaring unit, and a winding unit. The extruder melts the PP granules and extrudes them through the spinneret to form continuous filaments. The quenching system rapidly cools the filaments to solidify them, and the web formation unit arranges the filaments into a web-like pattern.

The meltblown unit then uses high-velocity air to blow the molten PP fibers into microfibers and deposit them onto the spunbond web, creating a layer of meltblown fibers sandwiched between two layers of spunbond fibers. The calendaring unit then compresses and consolidates the three layers into a single fabric, increasing its density and improving its strength and appearance. Finalmente, the winding unit rolls the fabric into a roll for further processing or shipment.

PP SMS spunmelt fabrics are widely used in a variety of applications, including medical and hygiene products, filtration media, geotêxteis, and industrial fabrics. The properties of the fabric can be adjusted by modifying the production process, such as changing the weight, grossura, or pattern of the web, or using different bonding techniques.

PP SMS spunmelt technology offers several advantages over traditional spunbond or meltblown technologies, including improved filtration efficiency, better barrier properties, and enhanced softness and comfort.
